Steve and Dean at Cooksons are as the name of their Company suggests ”Master Locksmiths”. They responded to my request for a lock repair very promptly. They carried out the repair very quickly and professionally. Steve and Dean are two friendly lads and it was a pleasure to have them in my home. Their charges were very fair too.

In one word. Outstanding. Steve turned up on time, his attitude and professionalism was 1st class. My door was opened in less than 5 minutes and from start to finish it was extremely quick. 100% recommendations.

They were on time and very efficient, solved 2 broken/ jammed locks within minutes and were very helpful and friendly, would recommend without hesitation.

There is a reason these guys have a Clown on the back of their van. They are the biggest bunch of Clowns you could ever meet! For over 3 months they have been delivering replacement keys for our factory. Call after call not returned, appointments not kept! .

When I called, the guys said they were in my area so I didn't have to wait long for them to arrive. I needed a lock replacement for my uPVC door and I had a new lock fitted within a few minutes. They were both lovely guys with a cheerful, friendly manner. Would definitely recommend.

Dean and Steve at Cooksons are fantastic and I would wholeheartedly recommend them. We were recently burgled by masked intruders who smashed their way into the house and threatened us with knives and hammers. I called Cooksons and said we needed their help to secure the house but couldn’t guarantee when we could let them in as the police had declared the house a crime scene and couldn’t give us exact details on when forensic analysis would be completed. Dean assured us that he would definitely come that day, even if the police work wasn’t completed till late. As it was they were able to come in just after 5pm and did a fantastic job at making the house safe again and with improved lock protection. After such a traumatic day it was such a relief to be helped by two such kind, considerate and talented craftsmen. Thank you so much.

Two professional, jovial men attended recently to replace a broken gearbox in a 22 year old upvc door, very challenging to say the least. However they located a gearbox after much searching on their part and spent a good part of the time fitting it, ensuring that we could lock and unlock the door again. Result! We are  truly grateful to these guys as we thought we would have to purchase a new door, as the gearbox in question is very old style. The cost was very reasonable and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Cooksons services, and would definitely use them again if the need arose. Very prompt and efficient service. Thank you Cooksons!

Their charge for replacing my front door lock handles was excessive so I would advise anyone using their services to get a quote if possible. They were convivial and quick but gave no indication of their charge until finished. They did reduce it slightly provided they were paid cash to avoid VAT being charged. Be cautious!

Very prompt and efficient service, our back door would not lock, they came immediately and fixed the problem.

Amazing service. Really friendly, arrived when they said they would and sorted out our problem straight away. We returned from holiday and our patio door lock had seized up in the door, we ended up breaking the key whilst trying to unlock it. Within 5 minutes of getting to our house, they picked the lock, they changed the lock and left us two keys for the new lock. I am so grateful and highly recommend them.

These guys are massively recommended! Went absolutely above and beyond for me today. I lost my key locking myself and my 5 year old daughter out of the house and after my letting agents informed me that they didn't have a spare key, they rang these guys and sent them out and said that they'd pay as they'd misplaced the key. When they got out here they informed me that the letting agency had told them that they weren't paying, in this scenario anyone in their shoes would have understandably packed their things and gone home but they still changed the locks as they said they couldn't leave me and my daughter locked out. Brilliant guys.

Quick response time (30 mins), good communication and good value. Mine was a slightly unusual case. My bike lock key had fallen down a grating and could not be retrieved. They were able to break the lock for me very quickly and efficiently. Top bloke! This guy really helped me out and couldnt have been more helpful and reliable! I needed to change the lock onb my door for security reasons for my business in west bridgford and he told me which lock I needed and even told me where to get the part from and how to fit it cos I didnt have a clue! Now I have fitted the new lock and feelvery confident in carrying out this task in the near future. Thanks again mate, copuldnt have done it without your expertise.
